The images we have online represent a fraction of the Museum’s collection. While new images are uploaded regularly, if a suitable high-quality image is not available to supply, it is also possible to commission digitisation of almost any object in the Museum. Our professional photographic studio is able to carry out a range of photographic services, including bespoke photography and ship plan scanning. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements.
Our expert team is on hand to help in finding the right image or footage for your project, and can carry out searches for larger projects and key accounts. Simply contact us with your areas of interest or you can create your own lightbox.
A curated selection of images, including ship plans, are also available to purchase as high-quality bespoke prints. Visit our Prints website to see the full selection.
In addition to standard photography services, we also work with partners to offer photogrammetry services to create accurate 3D models from collection items. We have recently collaborated with Cyreal to create 3D models from various collection items, including Lord Nelson’s hat from the Battle of Copenhagen (UNI0058), a pair of silk embroidered slippers worn during Titanic disaster (ZBA2988) and the 16th century Mercator globe (GLB0096).
