Seascape from the 'Penaglis M. Hadoulis' Long Caption: A sketch of the sea from the 'Penaglis M. Hadoulis'. The artist has concentrated on the effects of waves on a calm sea. In particular he is concerned with the patterning created by the rhythm of the waves. The surface of the water is broken with undulations of darker blue paint loosely sketched to indicate the waves. The sky is shown with a bank of clouds and in the centre these clouds are tinged with a golden light from the sun. This light also plays across the surface of the water on the right.
