Cup, part of a set reputedly belonging to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) Long Caption: Porcelain teacup with a gilt rim, part of a tea service said to have belonged to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The cup has straight conical sides and a small handle with a thumb scroll. Leaf sprays and red and blue flowers are painted on a white background. The service formed part of the collection of the Royal United Services Museum, and was said to have been acquired by the grandfather of the donor at the sale of Lord Nelson's effects.
