Spindle Long Caption: A relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition 1845-1848. A copper spindle found near Ross Cairn, Point Victory, King William Island on 2 June 1859 by the McClintock Search Expedition 1857-1859. The spindle is pointed at both ends. One end is square in section the other round with the remains of two attachments.
