Specimen collecting tweezers Long Caption: A relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition 1845-1848. A pair of tweezers (for collecting natural history specimens) found in an abandoned boat at Erebus Bay, King William Island, in May 1859 by the McClintock Search Expedition 1857-1859. The tweezers are made in two sections held together with a collar. The ends are curved and they have a suspension ring.
