The album belonged to Tizard (1839-1924) who was the Navigating Officer on the voyage.
The album relates to the voyage of discovery by HMS Challenger (1858) and contains the same images as in ALB0174-6 (may have been copied), except for 11 photographs as follows: 33 - Dobbo; 54, 80, 84 - Gibraltar; 87, 90 - Madeira; 119 - St Michaels, Azores; 136 - Marquesas Islands; 261 - Brazil; 291 - Inaccessible Island; 294 - Marion Island, South Atlantic.Credit line:National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London.Object:ALB0859
