Fox dip circle Long Caption: Equipment includes a large dip circle, a brass box of weights, a pair of tweezers, a bone disc with handle, a bar with a tube at centre to contain weights and a brass bottle containing pieces of brass with hooks. A Fox dip intensity apparatus. In 1834 Robert Were Fox received an award from the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society for the invention of this instrument. Returnd to Admiralty collection in 1933.
