A plan showing the longitudinal half-breadth, plan view, detail of decorated stern seat, body, half-section and inboard profile with water lines of a 27ft 2in barge from Mount's Bay. The plan was drawn by Philip Jesse Oke at Plymouth in September 1937. The drawings are accompanied by a lengthy note on the craft's origin and history, repeated here as follows: 'owned by Lord St Levan, reputed to have been built 150 years ago from elm, cut on the Clarence Estate. This barge was used by Her Majesty, Queen Victoria on the occasion of her visit, September 6th 1846, & later by His Majesty, King Edward VIII. The barge was rigged at one time as a Lugger, but no details of spars or sails are known at the present time'.
