'Plympton' (1893) semi-submerged on Lethegus Rocks off St. Agnes Long Caption: A port quarter view of the cargo ship 'Plympton' (1893) semi-submerged on the Lethegus Rocks off the island of St. Agnes. She is listing to port with most of her stern out of the water. Small boats are alongside her undertaking salvage work. Alexander Gibson went onboard as she was lying fairly level. As the tide flowed she suddenly slipped off the ledge stern first in deep water. Two islanders, Charles Mumford and Charles Hicks were drowned.
