Lady Hamilton aged fifteen Long Caption: 'Portrait of a welsh girl afterwards Lady Hamilton', is inscribed on the wood support in pen. This portrait was drawn and painted in 1775 by the Hon. Charles Greville. It represents Emma Hart who became his mistress and subsequently married his Uncle Sir William Hamilton, KB Ambassador at Naples. She was beloved of Nelson and many times painted by Romney. The portrait was first in possession of Dr James Graham the Quack Doctor (1745-1794) in whose show Emma represented 'The Goddess of Health' and subsequently it belonged to her husband Sir William Hamilton, inscribed on a later label in a different hand.
