Adelaide? (1848)

Adelaide? (1848) Long Caption: Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the lower deck and engine room illustrating the cabin layout, as proposed (and approved) for Adelaide (1848), a 72ft Admiralty paddle Tug for the Colonial Government of South Australia. The identify of the vessel as Adelaide is tentative, as it seems that only one sea-going paddle tug was built for the Colonial Government of South Australia. Note the use of the ballast tanks in the Engine Room, as per alterations made at Portsmouth Dockyard. Signed by J. Edye [Assistant Surveyor of the Navy].
