Royal Naval uniform Long Caption: This oval-shaped, copper, gilt shoulder belt-plate is an example of non-regulation accessories that were often worn with uniform. The outer edge is worked in bright work to create a repeating serpentine motif. In the central reserve is a large, line engraved, fouled anchor surmounted by an imperial crown.
