'Sultan Koosroo's tomb at Alahabac' Long Caption: Drawing of Kushru Bagh at Allahabad, India, by Captain A. G. R. Roberts in the East Indian Army. Allahabad is an important religious centre of Hindu India, and is located at the confluence three sacred rivers: the Ganges and the Yamuna, and the Saraswati river. The Khusru Bagh is a formal garden with parterres and water channels. It houses the tomb of Prince Khusru, erected in 1622, and those of Khusru's sister Sultan Nithar Begam (died circa 1624), and his mother Shah Begam (died 1604).
