'Minotaur'; warship; 74 guns; 3rd rate Long Caption: Scale: Unknown. A model of the British warship 'Minotaur' made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings, which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 13.40 on 21 October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and shows damage to the ship. The ship is three masted, ship rigged on all three masts with set sails. The top of the foremast is broken, much of the mainmast is broken, and the mizzen mast is completely broken. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the gun decks, white on the deck, and black on the deck fittings. There is a Union flag flying from the top of the foremast. On a paper label: '32'.
