Tank testing model; Design model Long Caption: Scale: Unknown. A full hull tank testing model of a frigate or destroyer hull of an unidentified type and class. The wooden hull is built in bread and butter fashion comprising of six layers of planks shaped externally and gauged out internally to produce a shell of about 3/4 inch in thickness. The wood has been varnished overall and is inscribed externally with the various stations.
