Aylens Admiralty pattern (silver) Long Caption: Scale: Unknown. A model of an Aylens Admiralty Pattern anchor made entirely from white metal. The shank is elliptical and bulges outwards towards the crown. It is connected to the crescent-shaped arms which curve upwards and are complete with flat, triangular-shaped palms with pointed bills. The stock is circular in section, where it passes through the shank, and tapers towards the ends finishing with a sphere at each end, one of which has been finished at a right angle. Above the stock is fitted a swivelling bow shackle. The stock itself is fidded with a metal wedge allowing it to be un-shipped and stowed flat. There is a small length of studded anchor chain attached to the wedge.
