Anchor model Long Caption: Scale: Unknown. A model of Aylens Admiralty pattern anchor made entirely of metal (steel?) and finished with a nickel plate? The shank is flat with two rounded edges and tapers outwards towards the crown. The shank is connected to the crescent-shaped arms which curve upwards and are complete with flat, triangular-shaped palms with pointed bills. The stock is circular in section where it passes through the shank, and tapers towards the ends finishing with a sphere at each end, one of which has been finished at a right angle. Above the stock is fitted a swivelling bow shackle. The stock itself is fidded with a metal wedge allowing it to be un-shipped and stowed flat. There is a small length of studded anchor chain which has been cut from the shackle.
