Lantern slies to accompany lecture on the Sun (c.1880) ZBA4535 Long Caption: From a set of magic lantern slides designed to accompany a lecture on the sun. The slides carry a trademark consisting of a letter Y with a serpent coiled round it, the trademark of the photographers and lantern slide-manufacturers, York & Son. The subjects include sunspot images, photoheliographs, the solar spectrum, spectroscopes and eclipses 1836-1869.
