HMS 'Adventure' (1904) Long Caption: Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the scout cruiser HMS 'Adventure' (1904), made entirely in wood and painted pink-brown below the waterline, a narrow white stripe above, black above the waterline. Hull features include two rows of portholes; starboard bilge keel; and a balanced rudder. Other features and fittings include a long fore deck with a gun mounted, painted black, foremast and bridge; long superstructure supporting four funnels inline, all painted ochre, funnels one and four being more slender than funnels two and three; a total of five ventilators, painted ochre, four of which are positioned abaft each funnel; and single gun aft. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame. On plaque attached to top right-hand side of backboard 'Adventure'.
