'Lysistrata' (1900) Long Caption: Scale: 1:48. A full hull model of the steam yacht 'Lysistrata' (1900), made entirely in wood with wood and silver-plated metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted dark brick red below the waterline and white above. Hull fittings include the gilded figurehead of an owl, very finely rendered; decorative features at the bow and stern; companion ways and booms rigged to the port and starboard sides; a single row of intermittent portholes; bilge keels; a pair of three-bladed propellers; and a balanced rudder. The superstructure is painted white overall.
