Portrait of the 'Duchess'

PT2336

Portrait of the 'Duchess' Long Caption: The 'Duchess', 90 guns, was built in 1679, and rebuilt in 1709. The drawing is unsigned, but inscribed 'd dusses'. According to Robinson the attribution of this large drawing to the Younger is not certain, but the Dutch phonetics of the inscription would seem to point to him.
