Midship sectional model of HMS 'Warrior' (1860) Long Caption: Scale: 1:24. Sectional model showing the midship framing of the warship HMS 'Warrior' (1860), a 40-gun ironclad sailing and single screw steam vessel. This cutaway model depicts a half midship section and is complete with all the structural ironwork and wooden decking. The outer hull is painted pink/red below the waterline, with a thin white line below the black topsides. The interior of the model is painted grey indicating the ironwork of webframes deck beams, pillars, together with wooden decking , working gunports and scuppers. The model is supported by three keelblocks and two wooden shores just above the bilgekeels, all fixed to its original wooden varnished baseboard. Base inscribed "Section of H.M. Iron cased frigate. Warrior. Shewing method of construction. Scale. - 1/2 inch to a foot". Number "11" on model. One of a series of six models.
