Portrait of the 'Ster' Long Caption: Lower left corner torn from paper mount. A port-quarter view portrait of the 'Ster', 30 guns, built 1644, burnt in action 1677. On the tafferel is a large six-pointed star between two small ports. ON the rail above are the arms of Amsterdam supported by two lions. Two shields are on the counter, on the port side are crossed anchors and on the starboard side is a lion rampant, for the Admiralty of Amsterdam. In the Boysmans Museum, Rotterdam, there is another offset from the same original (218-1300). Offset, rubbed on the back, from an accurate and detailed original. Possibly the work of the Younger.
