A kaag close-hauled in a light breeze and men-of-war at anchor

A kaag close-hauled in a light breeze and men-of-war at anchor Long Caption: Robinson considered this drawing only possibly by the Younger and commented that the drawing of the ships in the left distance lacked his delicacy. The dating, 1665, is tentative. The drawing includes several kinds of Dutch small craft: on the right there a kaag, in the centre a weyschuit and a galjoot beyond. Five ships are at anchor across the background. Credit line: © National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London Object: PAH1731 Artist: Willem van de Velde, the Elder Date: 1665?
