A Coastal View Near Wimereux, Northern France Long Caption: The location is probably the fishing village of Ambleteuse a mile or two north of Wimereux where the Wyllies had their house. The building on the promontory on the left would therefore be Fort Vauban, built by the military engineer Vauban in the 17th century and used by Napoleon when he was planning to invade England.
