'Belleisle' (1761) Long Caption: Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plan, stern board outline, sheer lines with inboard detail (note one waterline), and longitudinal half-breadth for 'Belleisle' (1761), a captured French East Indiaman, prior to being fitted as a 64-gun Third Rate, two-decker. Signed by Thomas Bucknall [Master Shipwright, Plymouth Dockyard, 1755-1762]. NMM, Progress Book, volume 2, folio 189 states that 'Belleisle' was docked at Plymouth Dockyard on 5 June 1761 and undocked a day later having been surveyed. She was re-docked on 20 September and undocked on 29 September, sailing on 31 January 1762 having been fitted.
