Plan showing the inboard profile, with alterations dated 1817, for cutting down (razee) HMS 'Elephant' (1786), a 74-gun Third Rate, two-decker, to a 58-gun Fourth Rate Frigate. The plan shows the original outline when Elephant was a 74-gun ship. The 1817 alterations occurred after a visit to Portsmouth dockyard by Robert Seppings.
