Portrait of HMS 'London' (1656)

PX6182

Portrait of HMS 'London' (1656) Long Caption: Second rate. Built in 1656, 76 guns. She was accidentally blown up in 1665. She is viewed from before the port beam. The jack has been drawn on a piece of paper pasted on the left, but there is no reason to doubt the authenticity of this part on account of the Irish saltire in the Union, as there are other examples of this in drawings made by Van de Velde about 1660.
