Geographical details on the sphere are the same as two other Newton terrestrial hand globes, GLB0015 and GLB0054. The location of the 'Antipodes of London' are marked. There is a note on Cook's death: 'Owyhee / Capt. Cook killed 1779'. Tasmania is depicted as an island. The tracks of Cook's second and third voyages are shown with corresponding dates. A total of seven oceans are named.
