Hip flask Long Caption: A relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition 1845-1848. A hip flask possibly found in an Inuit cache at Cape Maria Louisa by the Schwatka Search Expedition 1878-1879. The local people had found the items and left them gathered in one place. The flask is made of iron plate, tinned and soldered. The shape is flattened to fit into a pocket, the stopper is missing and the item is fitted with two loops to hold a cord.
