E1774

Chatelaine Long Caption: Pierced silverwork chatelaine, with an ornamental belt clasp, which is engraved with the initials 'E L H'. The chatelaine comes complete with a pot pourri, a thimble holder, pin cushions and a pair of scissors in a case all of which is suspended by chains. The chatelaine is said to have belonged to Emma, Lady Hamilton (circa 1765-1815), although the provenance is thought to be dubious.
