Hilt of hunting sword Long Caption: Hunting sword. The hilt consists of a knuckle-bow with a hoof where the guard meets the grip. The grip is ivory and there are three rivets through the grip and tang. The quillon in the form of a hoof. There is a half-shell, on the obverse, with a trailing end. The blade is straight, flat-backed, with a narrow fuller for two-thirds of its length and has a double-edged point. There is no scabbard. This sword was received with WPN1471.
