Sphere and stand Long Caption: Terrestrial floor globe. Geographical details on the sphere are the same as Cary GLB0242 but updated to 1836. The reference to Mackenzie in North America has been removed& in the south polar region five labels have been added, including, for example, the track of 'Wedell 1823' with 'Weddells farthest' and 'Briscoe in 1831-2'. The place where Parry and Liddon wintered in 1819/20 in the search for a northwest passage is indicated.
