Trade winds are marked by hatched regions in the oceans between the tropics. In North America, there is a label, 'Unknown Parts', and California is drawn as an island. Australia is represented according to the Dutch discoveries. Dampier's explorations are indicated by 'N. Britain'. In Asia, there are three labels.
