Ship of 100 guns, starboard stern quarter Long Caption: Scale: Not to scale. A model of a 100 gun ship made entirely in bone with metal and organic material fittings. The model is decked, equipped and fully rigged on all three masts and bowsprit. The hull is made from a solid wood core planked with bone planks pinned in position. There are solid horn wales, and there are horn strips applied to the hull between the three main gun decks. All the horn used is stained green. The gunports on the lower two gundecks all have red painted inner faces and edges. There are no lids on the upper gunports.
